Dieses Modul verfügt über einen mit 38 kHz modulierten IR-Sensor mit fester Verstärkung und eine entsprechende IR-LED mit Oszillatorschaltung, um einen winzigen Näherungssensor herzustellen. Diese Version mit geringer Helligkeit verbraucht durchschnittlich 8 mA bei 5 V und hat einen typischen Erfassungsbereich von bis zu 30 cm (12 Zoll).
